WEBSITE PROJECT TIMELINE

Consultation  >  Initial Layout/Design  >  Development  >  Preparation  >  Finalized Project

Consultation consists of a one-on-one meeting with the client to establish wants/needs/concepts for the website and to identify the Key Point of Contact during the development phases. In order to limit any delays and/or setbacks during the project phases, we ask that one point of contact be labeled and remain the sole contact point between the client and the development team from start to completion. Secondary points of contact may be established at the request of the client.

After the initial consultation is completed the actual development of your project begins. We do not provide any updates on the project until the Initial Layout/Design phase is complete. We will contact the client via email after the first phase is done to provide the first opportunity to view the project. At this point any changes or alterations to the project can be identified by the client and implemented for the Development phase.

Once we enter the Development Phase of the project, periodic updates will be provided or at the request of the client. Any changes and/or alterations may also be implemented during this phase at the request of the client. Once all components of the project have been completed, we will prepare the entire project for a final draft.

The Preparation Phase will consist of a second meeting with the client (either in-person or by phone) to discuss the final draft of the project. All components of the project as outlined during the Consultation, including any changes/alterations made during the development process, will be reviewed in preparation of the final completed draft. If there are any additional changes and/or alterations needed we will enter back into the Development Phase to implement them (additional fees may apply). Once the client is satisfied with the website layout and functionality the client must sign off to signify approval. After a signed approval is obtained we will activate the website live on the Internet.

Web hosting can be handled through Brown Cow Creative Marketing, or secured by the client prior to the website going live.

We prefer communication be limited to email whenever possible during the development of the project to limit delays. Phone and/or face-to-face communication is always available to the client.

Brown Cow Creative Marketing is not responsible for any delays in product arrival due to the printing companies and/or shipping services. Misprints, damaged goods and/or shorted quantities will be corrected immediately at the expense of Brown Cow Creative Marketing.

Misprints are identified as any design art that is not a match to the original artwork approved by the client prior to printing.

Graphic design fees and shipping fees must be paid in full before Brown Cow Creative Marketing can process the order for printed materials.

BILLING and PAYMENTS

WEBSITE PROJECTS: ½ of the total initial design fee as outlined by the client and Brown Cow Creative Marketing must be paid at the time of the initial consultation, unless alternative payment arrangements have been made prior to the start of the project. The remaining balance is due once the final draft is approved by the client and the website is activated live on the Internet.

Web hosting is available to the client at a rate of $14.99 per month, or $150 for 12 months when paid upfront.

Any changes, alterations and/or additions beyond the original agreed upon project price may increase the invoice amount and add additional delay to the completion timeframe. Any amendments to the original price agreed upon at the beginning of the website project will be applied to the remaining balance due and invoiced for the client to provide a signed approval.

We require a signature by the client or previously noted representatives of the client on all issued invoices before work will begin/resume.

Any discounts offered to the client prior to the start of a project will be reflected on the initial invoice. Any adjustments including discounts/refunds will be applied to the remaining balance due and invoiced for the client sign.

Any projects totally less than $100 will be required to be paid in full prior to beginning work.

By default, we generate billing invoices electronically and distribute via email. Print invoices can be mailed to the client upon request.

We accept payments in the form of cashiers check, money order and/or cash. Personal checks may be accepted at the discretion of Brown Cow Creative Marketing. We charge $35 for any returned checks.

If a client’s check is returned before or during the development of a project, we will not release any completed work and/or will retract any completed portions of the project as outlined on the existing signed invoice.

Any spot maintenance work required or arranged by the client after a project is completed is billed on a flat hourly basis. A monthly maintenance agreement is available to the client.

Email correspondence is free to the client to have questions answered and/or for troubleshooting issues. Any phone calls outside of a purchased maintenance agreement resulting in maintenance work for a website will be billed at a hourly rate of $50/hour.

Email correspondence is available 24 hours a day. Our regular business hours are from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday – Friday. We are available in some cases during night and weekend hours if necessary.

GRAPHIC DESIGN: All design work for printed materials and/or custom web graphics must be paid upfront prior to Brown Cow Creative marketing beginning the project, unless prior payment arrangements have been made between the client and Brown Cow Creative Marketing.

Shipping fees are paid separate and may vary depending on the location of the client and/or the time needed for delivery based on a pre-determined deadline.
